Joe Bergin

Joe Bergin is the co-founder of Commonwealth M&A, a boutique advisory firm that guides business owners through the sale of their companies. He started the firm four years ago with his partner, Rick Calabrese, and built it around a deliberate model: small businesses deserve the same sophistication and rigor that Wall Street reserves for billion-dollar deals. 

Commonwealth has deep roots in home services. The firm has completed multiple transactions in the sector, representing more than $100 million in combined value, and works with owners of plumbing, HVAC, restoration, and field service businesses across the lower middle market. Joe spends his time on the work owners actually feel: positioning the business to maximize value, running a competitive process, and holding the deal together through diligence and close. 

Before Commonwealth, Joe built his background at Johnson & Johnson in Corporate M&A. He lives and works in the Greater Philadelphia area
