Today the largest group of new home buyers are millennials who expect us to do business with them differently than any other preceding generation we have serviced. 41% of private businesses are held by Baby Boomers and 44% by Gen X, their children. We often hear of the generation gap which is the difference between generations as it relates to beliefs, policies, ideal, goals, and values. Millennials and their children expect service and communication in a completely different style than many of the business owners from the previous generations are now providing. We have to learn how to meet their expectations, how to attract their loyalty and business, and how to keep their business through our support systems. The way we are doing business now must change if we are to not only succeeded but excel at business with these new generations in the future.
